My First Love

There he is, Rhinestone Rascal.  He was one of the first horses (well pony really) that I rode at Bonnie's.  Stoney Pony was a little shit.  If he didn't feel like doing what you wanted, well then he'd just as soon dump you.  But I learned a lot riding that pony.  Eventually we forged a bond and he actually listened to me.  Stoney carted me around the mini trial circuit one summer and we came home with a bunch of ribbons.  It was only the crossrails division, as Stoney was half blind by this time.  But I was just learning to jump so crossrails were still a big deal to me.  And half blind or not Stoney still galloped across that cross country course like it was the big time.  Stoney was my first horsey best friend, he was the first equine partner who's mane would dry my tears and he listened to all my fears.

Sadly, there was some miscommunication with Stoney's previous owner and he was taken away from our barn.  It was really upsetting to me at the time.  I wasn't there when it happened and I'm glad that I wasn't.  But, I never got the chance to say goodbye and that really hurt.

So there you have it, my first love.  Oh wait you meant human, like boyfriend?

Well, my first "love" I guess I would have to say was my friend's older brother.  I had a huge crush on him in elementary school.  Of course to him I was just his little sister's annoying friend and he didn't give me the time of day.  But really this is much less interesting than my horsey love story.
